SOCKET REPLACEMENT NOT ALWAYS NEEDED
G13 Medium Bi-pin base with 13mm pin spacing (center to center) fits standard T8 and T12 sockets.
If dual end wiring configuration is used on standard line voltage (Type B - 120-277V) socket replacement is not necessary.
If you intend to use with a compatible electronic T8 ballast (Type A - ballast compatible) then socket replacement is not necessary however, ballast compatibility must be verified prior to purchase.
If using single end wiring configuration on standard line voltage (Type B - 120-277V) then sockets must be non-shunted.
Non-shunted sockets have an independent connection for each pin.
Shunted sockets share a bridged connection across both pins and will cause a short circuit if used with a single end wiring configuration.
